Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Product Unit Manager Dean Hachamovitch recently confirmed in his weblog that Internet Explorer 7.0 would have tabbed browsing integration, a feature that’s also available in Mozilla’s Firefox browser. One of the many reasons Firefox has become popular is due to tabbed browsing. It was a different concept that let users open numerous windows in a single parent window. It’s useful, it’s popular, and it works. But I don’t see how this is a major feature in need of promotion. While Hachamovitch didn’t intentionally promote it himself, he did confirm it as if this is the next thing in browsers.

I think that IE is making a step in the right direction with Tabbed Browsing, but they are going to need something innovative or orginial to unpaste me from Firefox. I love Firefox's security and expandability (everyone should try Greasemonkey). I am very tired of Microsoft ripping features out of other products and implementing them into their World domination products.
What do you guys (and 3 girls) think?

dammit, ie has always been free with a copy of microsoft windows..
and i still won't use it. cause hackers will STILL target it..i got saved from an virus by firefox once .you go back to ie... the lame, virus-ridden, anyone can take over your computer, piece of hacked up garbage...
btw i love how they made it sound like tabbed browsing is like a really new concept that will suddenly gain popularity when they finally implement it
people use ie because they don't know any better

I wouldn't trade opera8 for IE7, IE7^856 or anything in between as long as they keep rolling out the most innovative features (By the way, opera can run greesemonkey without a plugin

Not yet, I don't believe they have released any betas or anything to the public yet.
