Oh my god.
How he think?
That's entirely acceptable. As long as the water is reasonably pure and he lets them dry completely before using them, there's no reason why they should be damaged at all.
Strange but true.
I think it very easy to damage if he don't know what he do?
I ever finish to clean my mother board with water one time but never clean all that computer by water.
Well obviously he needs to be careful. But that applies however you clean your computer. There's no ESD to worry about if you don't touch the components, for example.
ohh i cant believe he had done that...poor computers..
The hard drives and all their data would be damaged beyond repair. They'd loose their magnetism.
Oooooohh...
Poor comput'ah
*laugh*
Funny
It's a very easy way to clean computers!
I dont clean mine... I just throw it out and buy a new one
i think hes taking water cooling just a LITTLE bit too far....., all u need 4 cleaning is a aicompressor if it a 40y/o puter, lol
And hes using a Fire HOSE! he should just run it full blast and wash the old computers away!
lol ive heard of water cooling .. even considered buy a watercolling system (yeh i do overclock everything lol) but isnt that going just a bit too far :p
lol. i dunno if that would damage them or not. i knowi woouldnt take the chance.
For the last time, this would not damage a computer!
In order for water to damage circutry, the circutry must have power.
Do you see these computers plugged in? No!
The only way water damages electronics is by shorting them out. In order to have a short-circuit there must be power.
Even if they were turned on, it would probably only destroy the power supply.
Indeed it doesn't damage electronical devices, but it does damage optical devices. If you remove your FDD, HDD and CD-ROM I think it's OK. Though it will take a pretty long while for those computers to dry up again.
I always do it with my CD's and games, it doesn't destroy them. The casing protects the chips so they are not harmed, like the guy said. There is no power so no harm is done, just make sure it's dry before you use it again...
wahha... cool cool! culd U really do that?
