Tell us which team is the best in your opinion and why do you think that
In my opinion the best is Mighty Ducks of Anaheim
why ? 'cause they are flying ducks nothing more
The second team that I like very much is Calgary Flames
Detroit Red Wings!!! id say 14-2 is pretty good for a "rebuilding" year
Best teams right now are Detroit and Ottawa.
Calgary and Tampa are one hit wonders....
I dontīt Watch at the TV too much the NHL
But in my opinion the best team is Detroit Red Wings^^
In my opinion Dertroit and Ottawa
Mighty Ducks Of Anaheim !!!
Ottawa and Philadelphia look pretty good. Kinda early in the season to say though.
Most definitly Detriot, i wouldve said so last year, the year before that....
the colts definitly Payton Manning is a football legend...
i would most definietly have to go with Ottawa. Good canadian team for starters, and second they have just been straight out rocking this year. Even with the suspension of Havlat they have done a great job, and are doing better with havlat back in their line up. I am thouroughly impressed.
WITH ALL THE TRADES AND CHANGES THIS WILL PROVE TO BE A VERY INTERESTING YEAR, UNFORTUNATELY MY TEAM DOESN'T LOOK AS STRONG AS IT ONCE WAS ( dEVILS) THOUGH I WANT TO GO ON RECORD AS PREDICTING OTTAWA SENATORS TO WIN THE CUP.
Flyers are going all the way this year with peter forsberg and simon gagne what more could you ask for?

Ottawa is still steam-rolling along. As long as they stay un-injured they might even win the cup.
Flyers are strong, but they are hurting without Peter.
Vancouver has been disappointing
It's all about the Senators! My home team. They are destroying everyone (except Carolina). 21 games in and already 100 goals for the team. If they keep that up, they'll score 400 goals this season! Gotta Love Alfredsson, Spezza and Heatley. Yay!!
Hi I am Brazilian!! I donīt know teams......but i came here to say that find this sport is very good!!!!! Itīs not practised here in Brazil........but I follow it an international that passes here in Brazil...I see a game of the teams Mighty Ducks Of Anaheim...seemed to have a great team!!
Colorado Avalanche!!! First hockey game I ever watched was them vs Red Wings. They kicked ass and my bf was mad at me for cheering them on hehe. So I got to see them win the Cup once and Joe Sakic is so damn impressive. So sexy.... so im sad to have not seen 1 game on tv this year
i gotta say that philly isnt a good choice for a cup contender, esche just isnt a good goalie, their backup isnt doing too bad so far, but their defence isnt great either, granted perter F and gagne are good, but with gagne and peter's health usually being an issue, can they honestly contend for the cup, given what else is out there? ottawa is definitely a cup contender, both hasek and ray emery are great goalies, with redden, chara and phillips on D, they have a really good back-end, and the forwards speak for themselves. Alfy, spezza and heatly have over 40 points each so far, might be 45 by now, not sure. anyway, for sure a favorite in the east, assuming they stay healthy. in the west, there are several good teams, Detroit is a perenial fav, always a good team. vancouver is starting to turn it up a notch, namely bertuzzi, i think he's really starting to get back into the groove. kiprosoff is playing really well for Calgary, iggy is starting to play better, and being coached by Sutter is always a good thing. so, i think those teams are gonna be there for the long haul; but the season is far from over and still hard to tell, we will get a good picture come february when the olympics are over with and the teams focus on the playoffs. in anycase, it should be damn fun to watch.
I think that you should rather have the thread "the greatest fight of the NHL" because thatīs all that matters...
*runsawayandhides*
I think ottawas the best team. The avalanche are my team, but they arnt the best team in the league. They are second to last in their division. They won the cup when they still had Roy and peter f.
But I like the Rangers this year too. They got rid of the attitudes and kept some key guys. They'll fade late in the year, and Detroit will be one of the last teams standing. If the Wild qualify for the 7th or 8th spot, you better worry. LeMaire will have them ready and a good chance to pull some upsets like two playoffs ago.
i bet 100 buck on Detroit, really good pay back.
id have to say detroit rlly impressed me. what a rebuilding year
they have played outstanding. 'nuff said
I thought the article captured my sentiments well. I'm a hockey purist and didn't like the idea of shootouts at first. However, I find myself tuning in whenever there is a shootout on.
Particularly, I'm actually rooting for a tie if the two teams are such that I don't care about them or they will not impact my team's chances of making the playoffs.
I have to say the NHL got it right on this one. However, I will not agree, as the article seems to suggest that they should do the same thing in the playoffs. It's not the right way to win a game.
Later.
with kovalchuk and hossa and savard atlanta will be awesome unless they can't find a goaltender or dunham doesn't get off the i.r. Kari Lehtonen is looking sharp in net.
Kudos to Mario for an impressive career and realizing when it was best to get out. This is his kind of NHL (no clutching and grabbing) but he could no longer keep up. It was time to pass the torch to 'Sid the Kid'. He's a worthy recipient of the torch and for all the French Canuck's he speaks fluent French as well.
Way to go Mario and Good Luck Sidney Crosby!
Flyers with injuries are still doing good peter forsberg and simon gange come on case closed
my fav team wuld have to be detriot red wings cause of stevie yzerman he is the greatest.
As the subject title says, the Ottawa Senators are my favourite to win the Cup. They just have to overcome the playoff demons of the past in order to do so. They're struggling now (compared to earlier this season), but it's better that that it happens now than in April - when it'll really matter. Perhaps the Olympic break will get them refreshed for the final stretch run.
Now if they can sneak past Detroit and Carolina to take the President's Trophy again!
I'm still going with the Flyers... if only they were healthy. Hopefully they can get it together again.
The Vancouver Canucks are a sweet team. They've got a lot of depth in their lines and some fantastic output from all over the ice. They've posted some good numbers at the net with Alex Auld, after having to use a rookie goalie instead of Vetern netminder Cloutier and acquisitions Richard Park, Steve McCarthy have performed very well.
Kudos to the Canucks for an outstanding season - even with a few shock losses along the way to the league's worst teams.

Oh yea best team ever. I hope we win the stanley cup this year. LETS GO FLYERS
