When scientists examined nothing they found something ....
OK, whilst Googling the above I came upon this fascinating photo .... maybe I'm more interested in the filled part of a photo than the "empty space", that scientists seem to think is not that empty after all.
As far as I've been able to ascertain, yeah, nothing is assertion. We have no real, meaningful definition of "nothing"... traditionally it has had a connotation of a void, perhaps a space, without anyting in it... but no such place can be shown to exist (or not exist?). Even in perfect vacuum there is still energy, there are quantum fluctuations, particles spontaneously emerging and disappearing... even in vacuum, there is stuff, something.
Nothing may be a complete abstract, akin to infinity.
Life In Every Breath
Beauty In Every Thought
Song In Every Talk
Nothing doesn't exist
there's always something
even in nothing, there's nothing, which is something
can you beat this paradox?
@ sark if nothing doesn't exist, how can something exist in nothing?
Absolutely nothing will NOT be tolerated!
When we were kids we would equate nothing to none. Therefore, using the logic of kids, whenever we came across a nun we would refer to her as a nothing.
I found a way to post nothing ^^^
PS. but... as science would have it... there is actually something there
If title is nothing than why I open this thread to find anything?
Will be there anything that make me to say I found something here?
TE, that was a really great one! Think I'm going to add that to my to do lists from now on, just to have something I can tick for sure.
Nothing is needed in our life just like zero in our number
Without nothing our life can feel strange
So, nothing is very important for our life
Here is an article about white space in Web design:
White Space and Simplicity: An Overview
So there is
It should be "black space" cause I hate looking at white on the computer screen all the time.
Without yin there is no yang
Exactly. White space is not nothing!
Before the birth of our universe, was there anything?
Actually it's not that long ago, but you only had 1000 posts at that time!
remember the yevish tv serie about nothing! Seinfeldt....
I hope everyone on Frihost knows I consider them family, and
Kindly tell me how you all feel but type nothing.
Not sure I follow you. Can you elaborate?
Lol, the point of this thread
That was a good one Flazh see the point of the thread below:
the cat above, hilarious! But still... nothing...
This graffiti sticker has been on a stairwell door in a car park near me for a couple of years:
Nothing is a strong word in general conversation depending on how you use it. Like if your mom ask you what are you doing online and you say "nothing" then it comes off as nothing important. If you say something like "I'm not doing nothing" then that may send the message you are litterally being lazy.
Gotcha! Thats a double negative and this proves the weird notion of the scientists Expecting to find something out of nothing. A "bit" counter intuitive?
Sometimes I feel that my life is nothing!
Even though I am concidered as excentric!
BBC has an excellent documentary on it.
@mahirh if Hitler were to see that he would say
All I can think is that 'nothing' is, or is perhaps most obviously, an English equivalent to the null pointer.
Sometimes nothing can mean more than something.
Something about that image is disturbing, deanhills. My mind resorts to comedy in this case and I imagine the guy saying something like "wait a minute... where are the Spice Girls!"
[I searched for more funny images that were topic specific... success!]
You can achieve it too:
OK let's see if I could do better this time round.
@codegeek post #14 dated Tue Jun 04, 2013 2:53 pm is the same image as the one you just posted. However, I guess posting it again is nothing
Nihilism is nice. I like it. Dadaism is nice too, but I prefer nihilism (well, consciously, I prefer dadaism in the sense that it gives me something to cling on to, but nihilism is the answer to all the questions that have ever been made).
There is no such thing as nothing. ONLY empty is exist.
Not absolute. "Nothing" is merely theoretical. It is impossible to achieve "nothing" ever. And absolute void is another purely theoretical concept.
what is supposed to make here?
I guess nothing...
