Help with idioms

crazyfffan
I know "bite my tongue" means that I've just said something bad and it happens.
Is there an idiom for the opposite meaning? e.g "I've just wished for something good and the worst thing happens", or "I've just predicted the worst and the best things come"?

No replies? I guess that means there's no such idiom I'm looking for.

I always thought "bite my tongue" was a phrased used to keep you from saying something. What do I know - very little.

"Careful what you wish for" might be the saying you are trying to find for the wish for something good and it turns bad.
Basically, what you wish for might not turn out exactly how you thought you wished!

I thought “bite your tongue” meant it is better to keep quiet sometimes.

An opposite prediction idiom might be poop happens which to me means it just happens, good or bad. Nothing is going my way might be ... you can look for an idiom from there?
