The 101 Building in Taipei, Taiwan.
I went there earlier this year during my four day trip to Taiwan.
It's a pretty impressive building, with a lot of upscale shops, and pretty decoration ("glass, we need more glass. Glass is the key to natural lighting and high electricity bills")
Truth be told though, the only thing I was really interested in while I was there was the huge PageOne store that was located on the top floor. (Books, people, books!)
Are there 101 floors in that building?!!
The building doesn't seem that tall!!

Your eyes are playing tricks on you
The Taipei 101 is actually the tallest building in the world by three of the four standards designated by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
It holds the records for:
Ground to structural top: 508 m (1667 ft), a record formerly held by the Petronas Twin Towers at 452 m (1483ft).
Ground to roof: 448 m (1470 ft). Formerly held by the Sears Tower (442 m = 1454ft)
Ground to highest occupied floor: 438 m (1437 ft). Formerly held by the Sears Tower.
The only record it didn't break is this one:
Ground to pinnacle, which is held by the Sears Tower 529 m (1703ft).

The lesson to be learned, do not always trust your eyes. Reality is relative...
Wow, that is more than I knew about the building. Ofcourse, I wasn't really paying much attention
The things you learn everyday...
And I took that photo with one of those disposable cameras (my digital camera died just before the Taiwan trip and the camera itself was sitting in the repairer's shop when I took this photo). For a disposable camera, the photo came out okay.
wow tall building
There's one thing i'm sure of...
I will feel really dizzy of I am on a top of a skycrapper..
