Please Explain About Spam

I didn`t really understand why the topic "Any Vegetarians in the House" was considered a spam by nOobie4life. Please explain me as datailed as possible, so that I`ll not run a risk of doing it in the future. Please see quote below:

Looking at the first post.

This is definately made just for the sake of spamming.

Thanks.

That post seems to be gone. I don't know why noobie removed it.

Please note that this forum gets a lot of spam, like people copying entire pages of text from other websites. Sometimes a non-spam topic can get closed by mistake.

Frankly speaking, I only closed the topic and didn't move it anywhere. So I have no idea where it went.

If my memory serves me right, your topic was a 1 sentence topic with just a poll. And it was for getting hosting.

I hope you get me.

Besides, when was the post made?

(no really. I have no idea where it went!)

I didn`t post it myself. Sorry I couldn`t get to use the Quote option correctly. It was posted by moonunit on the 29th of october under General Chat forum. I didn`t manage to answer it because it was blocked.
It seems to be a good posting, to my eyes, and the topic was interesting.
Just to make it clear, I`m not complaining about anything. I only want to know why it was considered a spam, so that I will not commit the same mistake myself, when posting.
