wow this is a good list, i agree with anhstar but i would add Boiling Point too http://www.atari.com/boilingpoint/, maybe MOH (medal of honor) series aren't bad and FarCry is very good too.
for me the best fps is doom3, FarCry and then unreal tournament 2004 has a real good gameplay
max payne is more a 3rd person shooter and that what makes it the coolest of them all. The 3rd person shooter really rocks, aspacially with the slowmotion killing and jumping that makes it the best 3rd person shotting game lik max payne and i prefair a 3rd person shooting game then a fps game allthough its not as good for online gaming but for the rest its just perfect.Doom

I really like the MoH series for PC, even though lots of people disregard MoHPA as a good game. It's actually pretty good in my opinoin. MoHAA is a classic in my opinion. But, the fact that i didnt play Doom3 and don't want to must count for soomething, and i havven't played CoD, HL, Farcry, or most of the others might make my opinion useless. But i really like MoH series and AA isnt bad either.
Why aren't any Unreal games on their? HUH?! HUH?!
Go play ut2004 and try to tell me you don't like it.
