Leadtek 6600GT problem

yvanmarl
Hi all!

I just purchased a new 6600GT (Leadtek) video card. I've removed the driver of the old card, open the box, changed the card. The is the following:
I restarted the computer. During bios loading, the screen began to "pixelise". Then freeze. But, the computer seem to load (disk's led flashing, window "welcome music" playing, etc...

Then, I reset the computer. Nothing. A black screen.

I change back to my old card. The computer booted A1 and acted normally.

I've retried the process. Same result.

What do you think? The card? The motherboard? (MB is a nVidia GeForce 2). The card is AGP.

You might want to try and uninstall your old video card drivers.
Then install your video card and install the nvidia drivers while in safe mode.

The old driver was uninstalled.

I can't boot in safe mode, because the screen pixelise and freeze during BIOS... Mad Mad

Someone told ME the beeps of the motherboard is some kind of error code. Anybody knows the meaning of those beeps?
