I am a very active wikipedian and I am tyring to produce videos for use in some of the articles that I am involved in editing. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T31 and a Canon EOS Rebel T4i. They produce .MOV file type videos. Wikipedia videos must be in .ogv file type format. In order to get my videos in .ogv format I do conversions with Miro File Converter. The resulting video quality is so low that it is discouraging because the video is not very illustrative of anything important foe WP. I am not sure what to do. Are there any other video converters that might produce superior quality .gov flle type? Is there anything else that I can do?

I should have noted that I often crop the video using Video4Web Converter, which results in an intermediate file type such as MP4. I am not sure how much it would help to do on camera cropping to preserve the file type.
