Is There A Good Database-less CMS?

ChunkyBustout
Hello all,

I've been trying to find a CMS that doesn't require a database of any kind. I need it to be able to tie my site together with a forum, blog, and picture gallery.

My main problem is that I can't deal with my page being down (sorry, frihost) especially when I'm just getting it up. Other than that, I'm quite happy.

phpCMS is a content management system, which focuses on speed and
flexibility. Unlike most other CMS it works with flat
files and does not require an SQL database
. phpCMS is
suitable for small private web pages as well as for complex professional
appearances and high traffic websites including the integration of
webservices and external applications. It provides many features as a
central menu management, flexible template system, fulltext search
engine & indexer, caching system, stealth mode, online editor, php code in
templates, plugin system, an easy way to include any foreign applications
and php scripts etc.

Thank you, MrBaseball. It looks like it may be what I'm looking for!

Here is one that I have used in the past, and it is entirely HTML, no database required at all. http://www.cmsimple.dk/

Hi,

The thing you need is a cms that puts all mysql info in a txtfile and uses that as a db. This is really easy, you can even make this yourself. You just put queries you need to install it in a txt file called db.txt, then you set the filextension to sql2 and then that's your db.
For more info on this check out www.tweakers.net.
I've also gotten some help from matonline.be (but that's a dutch site).
