This band are so ******' awesome. They used to be kinda nu-metally, back in the days when they all had short hair and wore baggy skater clothes.
Now though, theyre a completely different band. They're heavy, they're fast, they're thrashy, and best of all they're bloody original.
If you wanna get into this band, here's a few songs and descriptions to let you know what they're like:
From "The Impossibility of Reason":
"Power Trip" - A very Slayer-like riff, but accompanied by pounding drums and heavy vocals. Makes Tom Araya sound like a little girl.
"Implements of Destruction" - Their 13-minute epic instrumental. Even my mates who hate metal love this.
"Eyes of a Criminal" - Just a pure good metal song, awesome solo too.
From their album "Chimaira":
"Inside the Horror" - Brutal. Breakdowns. Blatantly.
"Nothing Remains" - Really catchy, with some awesome death-metal drum parts from Kevin Talley.
"Salvaton" - A bit more radio-friendly, still a ****** heavy song though.
To summarise, CHECK OUT CHIMAIRA. NOW.
