i got my webhosting and i find some thinks in it about i dont now what it is

.htpasswd for the pass but whiche?
logs what for logs ?
private_html private? acn people dont see what is in there?
public_html just normal map for the site(s)
and in here i find a cgi-bin can i delite it?
stats stats of.. (looks like the same as the logs)

and these 3 items i realy dont now
.bash_logout
.bash_profile
.bashrc

i hope that somedoy can help to clear out al question

how much point are off my account everyday

the faq says it goes 1 a day

is that true or are it more?

I suggest you never delete any files unless you exactly know what they are used for. Most files you mentioned are necessary for some (less) important things. So better don't touch them. Wink

.htpasswd is to protect a directory with a password.

The public_html directory is the root directory of your website. The contents are normally available to everyone on the internet.

Directories like the private_html aren't available for people on the internet. Just like all other directories/files not situated in your public_html.

files are used for shell access. Even though FriHost doesn't allow shell access, I'd suggest leaving them there, just in case. All files with a '.' in front of them are either settings or system files, so I don't suggest deleting any of them.

Logs aren't stored within your directory tree, but you can view them via cPanel/DirectAdmin. If you use a stats tool in cPanel (Webalizer, Analog, AWStats), the files generated by the tools are stored at /tmp/.

/mail/inbox is your entire email inbox, in text format.

It's one point per day. No more no less unless there's another bug with the script.

You can't delete cgi-bin.
