I have been looking into ordering a Canon Speedlite 430 EX II. Most well known dealers had holiday specials where they were offering the camera for about $245. I found some lesser known dealers with much lower prices. The lowest price that I found was $189.99. However, the vendor who was selling at this price said that it was for a flash that is for film cameras only. Canon says that they do not make a flash that is not compatible with digital. The vendor says that foreign suppliers produce such a camera. Is this true or was it a sophisticated upsell?
