Mac mini hdmi

XchaosX
Ok so I'm about to buy a Mac mini that has an Hdmi output only thing is it ask me if I want to buy the apple Hdmi which is too short dose anyone know if I can use I regular Hdmi from monster or somthing like that
Mr_Howl
I'm not too familiar with Macs, but it is my understanding that many of them have only Mini-DisplayPort as their output, and then you have to use little adapter boxes, like this, to get HDMI or VGA or whatever you need. From there you can use any HDMI cable you want.

If you are sure the Mac Mini actually does have a native HDMI output, then you should be able to use whichever brand of HDMI cable you prefer.

By the way, Monster cables are hideously overpriced. Try checking Monoprice.

As well as mini-displayport, the mac mini does indeed also have a regular HDMI. Being regular, any HDMI cable may be used, you do not need to use an apple one, it is technically no different.
