Damn.
I upgraded my wni-rar after 1 year, finnaly decided to. And now they give me a 40 day evaluation trial.
But damn, before I updated, mine IS a full version...and I lost the reg key. So. wtf? No. I won't use any keygens.
find another keygen bro...hehe... you are using a keygen huh...ny way me too...
On http://www.freeware-guide.com/dir/util/filecomp.html you can download the last freeware version of Power Archiver. It supports RAR. Maybe that is of any help?

too bad for that....mybe you should contact there site... your money will be wasted if you dont do that...

you should contact who sold it to you, get things squared out with the guys from winrar and try not to lose the key again
Maybe your XP-restorepoint works? If you have made a recent one...
(I don't
)
succes!

I never make a restore point
Me neither. I looked around a little, because I was thinking: "there should be some answer?!" and then I found ZipGenius on http://www.zipgenius.it/index_eng.htm
I don't know it, but it looks totally free and it supports RAR. You can also download it from download.com and they give it a 5 star-rating. So maybe that's a solution?

Yay. A new interface to get used to
.
Maybe I'll use it after 40 days.
Good luck
Maybe you will become TOTALLY addicted to it!!

Note: just giving the guy who sold you your computer a call isn't an option I guess?
Hmm. maybe. I'll try to call him tomorrow.
Why do you even care?
After the 40 days all you get is that annoying it's been 40 days thing >.>
i personally like winrar.
Try 7-Zip.
It's completely free. Open source actually. It supports .zip and a bazillion other compression formats including any gzip format. It can browse and uncompress .rar files too and it's own format has a very high compression ratio.

Well, care to read what the topic is about?
Winrar is fine. Lol just get the free command version. It works fine too.

Theres loads of alternatives to Win rar anyway, though I don't mind winrar myself.
I actually decided to make the switch from WinRar to 7-Zip awhile back.
I can honestly say after a day or 2 I had no complaints.
I really am a fan of the right-click menu though.
It literally is the basis for my comp.
*r-click, edit w/...*
*r-click, open w/...*
*r-click, 7-zip, add to archive...*
etc.
Even better, you can 7z into an .exe.
That way, if others don't have the program, they can still enjoi the compression ratio.
Woo.
nb4l retired? damn, i'm out of the loop...
Funny Error may I please ask you to stop going to the first page and bumping really old topics, please.
If there are freebies, why not have a try? 7-zip, i never heard of. But perhaps it works. Presently I am using an evaluating copy of rar, but, does it really expire and be locked?
Win RAR does seem like MIRC.
It reaches its evaluation period, and the only difference is it seems to bug you to buy it more.
Cant see how nagging can make anyone buy the software when they can just click ok and continue to use it for free.
reviving old dead topics FTW.....
