You should try Dotclear.
All the blogs I read which aren't self-made are using dotclear.

personally i use wordpress. very flexible and you can literally take it apart . its a good one if you already know php/css or want to learn it
drupal is also a good alternative

It seems good. Thanksi`m using wordpress myself and i really like it. there are loads of WP plugins and themes available also...
I'm looking and trying other php blogs myself. I find there is sooo much out there that it can become overwhelming

blogs are like online journals/diaries or simply a website, most ppl use Wordpress, there's tonnes of themes and plugins and there's a very good community support for it.
I'm sorry I'm just not a big fan of just using other peoples scripts. I understand the need to, because you don't know how to make one yourself, but really have you tried? You should get one for now. But while you are using it, try picking it apart and learning from it. and then go and make your own. Its better that way cuz you learn something out of it, and that makes you a better person. Don't you think so?
