MySQL Connectionstring in a c# desktop application

Marcuzzo
Hi guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this so please move if needed.

I'm working on my thesis ( I'm in my last year of Analyst-programmer via evening-school ) and I'm going to be working with a MySQL database ( not hosted frihost because of the access domain and dynamic client providers... ect.. ) and the .NET connector of MySQL.

what I want to find out is if it is better to store the connectionstring in the appconfig file and encrypt it, OR create actual database users and create the connectionstring at runtime.

eg:
Code:
private string _host = "mysqlServer.domain.com";

private string _createConnectionString(string database)
{
    string user = txtUsername.Text;
    string password = pwdBox.Password;
    return    "server=" + this._host + ";User Id=" + user + ";database=" + database  + ";Pwd=" + password;
}

which option is more secure?
