I've been looking for some audio editing software for some time now, the kind that can bleep out swear words, like the way radio stations do. I was wondering if anyone had any input/help for me.
What is the best audo software??
A free audio editor is audacity. You would have to get a beep sound somewhere but then its not too difficult to layer it on time.

if you're on a mac soundtrack pro is really good. but there are tons of free one out there
i use audacity for the same purposes and it works great if you do it right.

I like the freeness of audacity too
i still say, go for soundforge. its the best so far and has loads of plugins out there, u may like and suit your needs. gud luck.

Adobe has a sound editor? nice, I'm trying it, hopefully it's as good as their photoshop software.
i use soundforge and nero wave editor
, i just found it by accident in my start menu and found that it was really good for doing some minor wave editing like what u want to do.
Yes dcshoes23, I have the whole Nero suite, including Wave Editor. But I want something with enough power to manipulate the voice alone, Wave Editor doesn't have that capacity, and that kind of software does exist.
