I found this article to be very interesting, and also a bit depressing. For me, this is a big issue, and yet neither party talks about it much for this presidential election.

Why are we allowing this to continue? The system is corrupt to the core.

Ha, yes I suppose I did.

I guess what I really mean is why aren't more people mad about it. I mean, look at the current wave in politics--arguing about Obama apologizing? Really?

1: Most people just don't care. Apathy, plain and simple.
2: The same people who own the politicians also own the major media networks... where (say) 90% of people get all their information about the world.
