PHP update on Frihost

jcreus
Some time ago I started getting "Undefined index" errors in PHP. Is it possible this is due to a PHP update//configuration update? I think it can be removed via error_reporting; but I wanted to know the source of it.

It means that you are using values of an array that were not set.

You can set a value like this:
Code:
$array["myIndex"]="value"

And check if it is set like this:
Code:
isset($array["myIndex"])

If you access it when the value is not set, I guess it will cause this warning. Most of the time, this is for $_Get['something"] url parameters, in that case just check first if the value is set and only use it if it is set.

Code:
if(isset($array["myIndex"])){
//Do something
}
