battery Asus

esblog
Hi,
my netbook, Asus eeePC 1005HA, has the power supply circuit and charging scorched.

since the battery on the PC works fine, I thought to open the battery and replace the three cell li-ion battery with a power of about 10.8 V (12 V to the limit also seen that when the voltage is measured carichissime is also 11 , 8v).

If necessary, once the open view, you might as well just put a divider to regenerate the intermediate voltages between the various cells.

I wonder:
It might work?
What are some I should use (protection diodes and the like)?

Thanks in advance.

i think it works as long as it has the same input output voltage, amps ans size..

if you use same voltage there should not be any problem, by the way the voltage of battery is written on it i think if you can use a source with exactly same voltage there should not be any problem but the main question is that can you ?

most power supplies can not give you exact voltage so be very careful about what you are doing, giving it a little difference you may break your notebook completely.
