GPU cooling

Sh3raz
Hey!

I recently bought a Nvidia Geforce GTX 570 HD 2.5 GB
My case is a Antec Three Hundred Two
has two fans already in it, and im getting another to mount in the slot thatll cool the graphics card
But apparently these graphics cards produce alot of heat.
so in short is my systems cooling capability enough to be safe with this GPU?

Thanks

I've got a 550Ti, and yes, it does produce a lot of heat.

Get some temperature monitoring software like Speedfan. It'll tell you the temps of pretty much everything in your PC. From what I've read on the internet, graphics cards can go to a max of 90-100. Not that it's very healthy, though. Mine goes upto like 80 when it's stressed fully.

you can use extra cooling for your graphic card but it is not needed if you don't want to overclock you card, as your case is for gaming you should not worry about the temperature cause your case is designed with a good air flow. my suggestion is that you test cpu temperature with and without that graphic card and see if temperature of cpu rises when you install your graphic card, if so then you need extra cooling system but if there was no change don't worry about the heat your GPU produces.

Yes it is normal for GPUs to get really hot.
