@ abone,

please explain a little more detailed. Which hardware do you have?

The DMA mode is not exclusively for SCSI, it says how your mainboard accesses your disks (HD and CD/DVD) also for IDE/Atapi connection.

When during your installation does your problem appear?

Hi,

if your SCSI controller is onboard try connecting an IDE disk to the first IDE controller to install XP on this disk (has to be NFTS formatted) or check your BIOS to be set for booting from SCSI devices if you only use a SCSI disk.

If SCSI is a PCI card try to install XP on an IDE disk without the SCSI card first and connect it after the installation.
