Making the header bar sticky (ala Facebook)

Just throwing this into the table, or perhaps you could "minimize it" with a little button or link.

Maybe not the whole header bar, but just the bar of links below it?

At any rate, it's never further away than the <home> key on your keyboard.

That's just it, let the navigation part of it stay stickied to the top of the screen, but let the other stuff leave the screen.

Oh... his original suggestion was to have the option to minimize the "header," which to my knowledge would not include the navigation, but everything above it.

I could see maybe wanting to minimize everything above the current navigation, as it just shows you your stats and gives you a search bar. And of course the links to edit profile/log out etc. Which isn't always necessary.

It could definitely save some vertical space, but I don't know if it would be all that necessary. I don't think programming it would be all that difficult though.
