According to Eachnet, the advertisement was registered in Shanghai on 16 October.
The seller, under the user name "Chuangxinzhe Yongyuan" or "innovator forever", said the babies would be available within 100 days of their birth.
The seller said the service was being provided for the benefit of China's millions of infertile couples.
All the children were described as coming from Henan province in central China.
Although no deals were struck, more than 50 people browsed the listing before it was removed, including one who left an enquiry.
According to Tang Lei, the website automatically screens all the postings it receives. But the word "baby" is not seen as a forbidden term because so many baby products are advertised on the site.
Mr Tang admitted the posting may have been a hoax - but he added that, if not, the person responsible for the attempted sale could face many years in prison or even the death penalty. |

What kind of parents would sell their babies ?
This could be just an hoax, but the fact is that things like these happen, and now on internet auction sites too.
I wonder if the babies come with a lifetime warranty.

I don't think it is such a bad thing consdering the one-child-policy in China.
If a couple doesn't want to use the right to grow the one child it is allowed, and if the couple is poor, why shouldn't they earn money and make another couple happy with the possibility for a child.
In Europe there is also the possibility to give your child away for adoption - just without money and staying anonymous like real mother... It wouldn't make so mutch sense here, as anybody is allowed to have as many babies as she wants. It is used in case women are pregnant and don't want a baby, but abortion is not an option.
The concept is a good option for China. There should be just laws to make sure that women are not forced to get these babies, for somebody else to get the money.
Generally I think this first try had to happen and shall create a public discussion on the necessity for governmental control on this traffic.

Just few days back, A news channel caught a medical hosp. selling a boy for 1 Lac Rs. or 2,250 in US$ ( In that situation(as it was reportded) the boy was left by a girl who became pregnant before marriage and got rid of the boy.whoever thinks this is cool...is obviousy not a human..some other eveil creature 
why wuld u sell babies on the net...if you dont want your kid, the least you can do is put them in the adoption center so somene else can take care of them

There was a case similar to this in germany too. Some time ago someone unknown offered a baby for sale on eBay at a minimum price of 10,000 €. But it seems like that wasn't really an attempt to sell a baby but rather an attack on the parents' reputation.

Allowing a poor couple to earn money from selling off their children...that's interesting. But I don't know how it could possibly be justified.
If this is legalized, this will become a trade. And human children will become commodities.
Also, the laws which will protect the child money from reaching someone else but the mother, will also ensure that the woman in question can make a living out of it. Hence, there will be many poor mothers, constantly pregnant with their next child, and living off the income from their last one.
It would be wrong because these commodities (which also happen to be human children) will have to celebrate their day of purchase rather than their birthday.Chinese

Considering the population growth of China, Its no wonder that stuff like this goes on.
lol....the day has come ...this was predicted in some chinese myth that the end of the world will come when babies were sold for monetary value...

You can think of how cheap man's life has become in this corrupted world. It may be true for some families in poor countries who can barely survive with their low income or no income at all.
