Thank you for sharing, it's really promising.

I would also suggest you Symfony. It has all you need to build websites. It is also used by many professional users (like Yahoo).

sorry don't mean to rant but i HATE this kind of question with a passion

which framework is best?
well whichever fits your needs best, THERE ARE NO SILVER BULLETS.

every major framework became major , because someone needed it.
kohana,yii,codeigniter, cakephp, symphony, sylex, zendframework,akelos
,limonade even Structured PHP are great.

The question isn't what is best, is what is BEST FOR YOU RIGHT NOW.

Totally agree, perhaps the question wasn't worded correctly, a more reasonable approach could asking which framework is more suitable for building a certain application. Although I do think the question makes sense as learning a new framework takes time and effort.

CodeIgniter and ZendFramework are the best frameworks to work in PHP

It could be argued that zend, for instance, has become bloated leaving those that want a thinner framework out.

I was searching for the info about frameworks and found a few useful posts:

After reading lots of info and talking to several developers at forums I realized that Yii is the most efficient one.
I`m going to try using it for our current project and check backvendor or bootstrap extensions.

Do you have any experience with Yii? It would be great to have a look at your projects based on it.
jajarvin
I use YII. Is is easy to use and it has good documentations.

Zend framework is the best.
Also I use cakephp and wordpress for their easy of programming.

I always wanted to learn some php framework but I think its kind of redundant for me as I am trying to build simple functionality. So, I stick to raw php programming for my works. But if I get a chance to do some big projects than I would definitely consider using some framework and Code Ignitor is on the top of my list for now.
MagicHack
There is also the Zend framework. It's a pretty good one.
But I would personally suggest Symphony
existenz
For complex projects I would suggest ZendFramework and for lighter ones I think CodeIgniter is on top of my personal preferences.

Any frameworks isn't best. Just choose your choise, which is suitable for your project and coding knowledge. Anyway, I am using Laravel. Because: http://taylorotwell.tumblr.com/post/21038245018/why-laravel
Nyasro
try cakephp

There is no "best" framework. All of them has their own shortcomings. But to deal with this, you will have to choose the framework that is best for your needs depending on the project you are working on

I've recently read that frameworks are dead and that the 'new' thing would be to use libraries, and essentially turning these libraries into your own framework. enter composer
