Adding Ram To A Mac

I have late 2007 macbook and I know I can add more ram but as far as what ram sticks are compatible with the mac I am not sure. I know I have 1 gig the max I can go is ethier 2 or 4 gigs to be on the safe side want to 2 gigs can anyone help with this?
