what's the best open source video editor?

fuzzkaizer
i'm looking for an open source video editor -
it should be able to cut exactly between two frames,
but also be able to have more than one video or audio track...
is anybody having experience about that?

I think the one that is popular for video editing is virtual dub".

It is free and quite powerful, but I don't know if there is anything better than that.

A lot of video editing softwares are based on virtual dub though, and virtual dub is the pioneer in free video editing.

thanks!

Just out of curiosity, are there any that people aware of that work for Mac?

I've looked into them in the past for Linux, but never even thought that this would be a valid option for Mac.

i am working comfortable with windows 7 professional and cheaper price compared with Mac. not to mention most available options of installer are base on Window O.S; Mac is just optional after a software is compiled with Windows.. or just available after the release of Windows..
