What was your first time like?
I like the choice of subforum for this topic, though I can't decide whether it's worse for you to be thinking of strippers as a hobby or as animals.
Serious answer: I've never been to one. Given that I don't have a group of mates to go with but do have the internet, it seems like it would be expensive, awkward and redundant.
This entirely mirrors my thoughts when I first read this thread and was trying to think of how to reply... then I opted not to
I have never been to a strip club either.
I have a group of mates that visit such clubs quite often but I am not into it. Maybe it is because I am greedy but for me it is a complete waste of money.
I'm not against strip clubs, but I couldn't see me going to one... especially locally
The city I live in is pretty small, barely a city, and is more like a small town; everyone knows everyone. A strip club would be... awkward Factor in that many women who would be likely to work in one here are... let's say less than appealing... and it would just be an unpleasant experience all around.
If I were presented with the opportunity to go to one in a larger centre, I likely still wouldn't go. I don't care for bars in general, unless there's a really good music act playing, so I can't see a strip club being much different in that regard. The show might be enjoyable... but then what?? If it's arousing, a lot of good that does without a release
I'm also like Hexes, I don't want to part with my cash for so little gain.
I'm like that and, in a way, I feel bad for the people who part with their cash so quickly... They must be lonely.
I do, occasionally, go to strip clubs. But I do not spend much money. Usually the cover to get in is about $10. People drop hundreds by throwing their money at the strippers (like they'll get anything?), buying drinks, and buying dances. Usually when I go, it's just with a group of friends and it's more of a social event. So we'll each pay $10 to get in and then we hang out for 4 hours and chill... That's not expensive by almost any standards because I don't do any of the other stuff... Just pay $10 to get in and chill for 4-5 hours with friends... That's the same price as going to a 90 minute movie where you cannot have any social time.
I've gotten a lap dance once and my old boss purchased it for me, lol. So that was free (and awesome, I got to pay a chick way too hot for me to ever get to rub her "stuff" in my face and grind against me and I better not go into any more details here) for me.
Other than that, it never costs me more than about $10 and me and my friends get to hang out all night... That's not a bad deal...
I think I've been to strip clubs a total of four times - in my entire life. Each time spending an average of 100 pesos ($2-$3), just for the entrance fee + complimentary beer. I went there with friends as well, usually already a bit tipsy from a previous bar (probably playing billiards or just lounging).
So yeah, I think strip clubs out there in the US are insanely expensive, while it's quite cheap out here. (Yay poverty).
It's also not that sensual of an experience. Most of the time I feel sorry for the dancers. I could tell from their faces they wouldn't be stripping if they had other options (for getting money).
It's not like throwing money at a stripper you enjoy is any worse than donating money to an indi game designer you enjoy, or tipping a waitress at a restaurant. It's just, uh, maybe a little less considered in some cases.
From my experience, most of the people I've seen that throw their money at strippers are people who are quite lonely and have some delusional fantasy about the stripper coming home with them and giving them a personal service.
If I give money to the waiter/waitress it's to thank them for bringing my food and not spitting in it and then a remembrance to not spit in my food in the future. If I give money to an indi game designer then it is to insure that they continue to make games I enjoy. A stripper will be a stripper regardless and if they quit then there's hundreds lined up with the same bra size to take their place.
my high school time also being with my friends around
I've never been to one and this topic seems inappropriate
My girl is a dancer at a club. So of course I go to strip clubs.
My first time was actually around the time I turned 21. I had been away from my friends since I was 18 and upon coming home they dicided I must go to a strip club for my first legal drink.
It wasn't at all akward. But I was used to seeing naked women by the time I was 21. Not a thing I hadn't seen before and since I wasn't paying, I wasn't complaining either.
Now-a-days, I really don't go in more than once a month. I try to leave my girl to her work. even when I am there, I stick to other dancers. It would effect her tips if the other guys thought I was her man. And yes, I tip her just like any other shmoe. I just get to take he home and @#$% her unlike the other poor shmucks.
