Windows clock keep resetting

nightfuries21
Good day Everyone,

I have this clone pc of mine which I used mainly for word processing stuffs.

The problem is whenever the clock keeps resetting I had to manually adjust it in the task bar.

btw I am using Windows XP professional. Once I set the clock right and restart the PC it will be ok.

I run my antivirus ESET and it looks clean - also this happens intermittently.

What did you mean by clone PC ?
Is this a physical machine or a VM?
Have you checked your CMOS battery ?

If you use Automatic Time Sync feature, check with your NTP admin. By the way, a little more info would be good.

I have same problem with my old PC. I think this is battery and how long I don't pull out computer cable from power supply it is OK. If I pull out cable then after few hour without work my computer reset time on 1977. Very Happy

Note that any custom CMOS settings will be erased when you remove the battery to put in a new one.

All overclocking settings will be reset, etc.

thank you guys!

just for 1 dollar I was able to buy 3 CMOS battery and it works fine.

I left the computer off over night and when I turned it on this morning boom - all is well

my clock runs fine. finally I don't have to adjust it all the time - Its kinda annoying some games or

programs requires you to set your clock right other wise it wont work like backyard monsters in

facebook.
