I've been figuring ways to get root access on freehostings.
Are there any freehosting that offers such?

Also, how do you install a shoutcast server. Are there any shoutcast servers we can freely use?

I really want to make the most of my winamp and tons of original mp3s from hundreds of garage bands who came and recorded demos in my studio. Everyone of them are eager to hear them on the net.

I run my own SHOUTcast server from home for free. It's quite easy on setting it up.

Go to : http://www.shoutcast.com/download/

Click the "Be A Server" icon.

Read the instructions on how to install and configure the server program.

Click the "Be A DJ" icon.

Read the instructions on how to install and configure the broadcasting program.

Sorry, I don't want to go into much detail on setting it all up, otherwise I would be going on for ages since I explain in a lot of detail normally.

What I really wanted was to broadcast it remotely. So I could free my PC and my modem with traffic. I was thinking of live365 but I dont want to spend before I get convinced that I could actually make profit from it.
