NBA is not too much for Maccabi. I'm sure Tel Aviv is good, but they played the Toronto Raptors. THE TORONTO FREAKIN RAPTORS! These guys suck out loud! And Maccabi only won by two! In an exhibition game! The Raptors could probably be one of the worst teams in the NBA and Maccabi only beat them by two in a game that didn't matter to the Raptors. And now you're gonna go on your "NBA isn't all that great. Blah blah blah." schpiel. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING. If you can only beat the worst NBA team by two points in an exhibition game that doesn't matter to the NBA team (not to mention the worst NBA team), then how can you expect to compete in the NBA during games that really matter? If you had beat the Spurs or the Pistons or the Heat, then I would give you a lot more credit, but you couldn't beat the Raptors by more than two. Don't make BS statements like "Maccabi Tel-Aviv can kick the *** of every NBA team" until they can prove that they can win a meaningful game against a good team in the NBA.
And don't even use the national team as an example either. How many of the NBA's best players declined to play for the national team because of security reasons. Yeah, I think that's pathetic, but it's an indication that the teams in the NBA are a lot better than the national team made them look. American's aren't pissed that the national team lost. They're pissed that the national team didn't have the best players because nobody good wanted to play. They had three rookies playing! One guy hadn't even played a game yet and was drafted right out of college! This isn't the NBA's best.

The best players around the world come to play in the NBA and always will.

1) I think that every player that refuse to play for the national team should be kicked from basketball for some years,and the press should pulish the names of the pussies players.
its a shame for the usa that it contains that human trash-they dont have any respect for there country,nobody can refuse to play at the national team!-if you"re called to represent the country you should do it,no matter what.

1) Sometimes there are special circumstances but this time there aren't. I agree. If you're asked to play, play. I wouldn't call them "human trash" because they're not necessarily disrespecting the country. They're just fearing for their own lives and their family's well being. Under different circumstances, I'm sure that a lot of these people would play. Names are published by the way.
2) Yes. It's exhibition for both teams, but Maccabie has more to prove since they're widely considered (by most, apparantly not by you) to be the inferior team. Just like MLS Select vs. Real Madrid was probably a much more important game for the MLS than it was for Real. MLS has a lot more to prove. Real doesn't have to prove anything.
3) Once again. They played the worst team and barely beat them. What evidence do you have that makes you think they can compete with any team in the NBA? Once again. I'm sure they are a very good team. I'm sure they can compete very well with some of the lower teams in the NBA. I'm sure they would be a lot more exciting than some of the lower teams in the NBA. But they would not beat the best. Repeating it over and over again isn't going to make it true. Prove me wrong.
4) The NBA is boring now because it's less about team play and more about individual play. I hate it as much as you do. Sometimes it is boring. When I watch European teams play sometimes, it's a lot more exciting because they pass a lot more. But there are teams that are good teams and don't just have a few superstars like the Phoenix Suns and the Spurs and most of the teams at the top of the league. Nobody will ever be exactly like Jordan, but someday a player will have an impact on the game as much as Jordan did.
I wouldn't diss the NBA too much if I were you. If recent trends indicate anything, if Maccabie's players are as good as you think they are, they'll end up playing in the NBA within a few years.
maccabi playes amazy... she played against team from the NBA at the first time ever.. she never played at the NBA and to win in the NBA, it's not metter what team.. and win her.. it's very good.. and great.. hope they will take the Europe League again..
It is a great accomplishment. I'm just saying that beating the Raptors doesn't prove that they can beat the best NBA teams.

European and American basketball have different styles of play. European teams tend to have more finese, more team oriented, and have better developed passing, shooting, and dribbling technique. While the United States is more of a bump and grind of play.
I'd say the majority of NBA play is "get the ball to [insert superstar name here] and let him drive to the basket and dunk it." The best NBA play comes from good team basketball and good grind-it-out defensive play in the playoffs. No team can rely on finesse here. The Kings almost made it against the Lakers (they definitely should have) and the Suns almost did last year, but it just doesn't happen very often.
The European game is very finesse. That's why all the Europeans that come to play in the NBA are very good shooters and very good passers. Sometimes even the big men shoot from the outside a little too much despite their tremendous height advantage.
