I don't have the disc... But i have listened some sounds ... this is very good!!!

The new cd, "Mesmerize", is VERY good! Just a pity that is so small.

Anyway, they should release ANOTHER cd this year, "Hypnotize", that will complete the DOUBLE album thay planned for this year.

The only think I, well, dislike is a strong word, un-like ( Razz

) about the new album is that all the Armenian influences are gone...

when i first heard the songs this band, my perspective toward hard music turned GOOD!.. ei ya.. you read it right!... it's one of the best i ever heard.. I can't wait to buy thier new cd "Mesmerize".. when ill have an extra buck! Wink

soad is an AWESOME BAND

B.Y.O.B sounds great, really great, i dont have Mesmerize yet but i ll buy it in the next days.. lalala

I love System of a down! Mesmerize is even better then toxicity.. I Didn't think they could master to make a better album, but they proved me wrong Wink

B.Y.O.B is the greatest song on the album, And the chorus is Extremely "catchy"..

I also think that "soldier side(intro)" should have been longer.. It would absoluttly been a hit! Wink

and Mesmerize is the worst SOAD album
Toxicity is the greatest SOAD album but it isn't great

I've like System of a Down since their first album. I like their style and they always seem to impress me with a new album.

I really like Mesmeize, it's a good mix of what SOAD has to offer. I reccomend giving it a listen.

System Of A Down is a great band, i ve got all of their cds and i think da Mesmerize REALLY but REALLY Kicks Ass !

I haven't heard anything from Mezmerize, but I'm thinking about buying it. I like the earlier releases, so I doubt it'd be a let-down Very Happy

Ive just got Mezmerize, pretty good so far need to listen to it a bit more. Dunno if I prefer toxcity though.

Hey, so is it just me, or does System of a Down just suck big ass now? Probably going to incur lots of angry system of a down lovers posts from this. But I used to love system as well. I am a System Of A Down fan who is quite dissapointed by the new album.
It compared to the other albums was tooo over the top in anti everything. The music itself didnt sound nearly as good as past albums with its screech like sounding guitars.

If Hypnotize is anything like this I am going to stp listening to them all together.

System Of A Down is one of my favorite bands. I think Mezmerise is great, and can't wait for Hypnotize to come out (should be very soon I hear). I think Mesmerize is fairly different from their previous albums, but still overall good.

I rest my case about the people listening to what MTV tells them, icugaming's post is a support of my theory.

ANYWAY System of a Down is a TERRIBLE band. Anti-war. I rest my case. They mix politics with music, very very very BAD! And they complain so much about the war and everything, I'd like to see their feeble incompetent minds come up with a better solution! Sorry, I ranted a bit, forgive me. Musical aspects - not that bad, they have some good guitar leads and stuff. I think if they fixed up the lyrics and the creepy videos they would be a bit better.

system of a downs new album is catchy although i still think that toxicity was their greatest creation. Very talented group.

the harmonic minor scale gives them a great sound which i dont beleive is overused because it is used in many contexts so it does not matter.

Man, these dudes are crazy but their music is damn good ! Mesmerize is surely the best album they've released so far...
I'm really looking forward to Hypnotize...

Got all of their albums, but I think Toxicity was their most complete album. Mesmerize is great, but it somehow lacks that certain something which Toxicity does have.

i am turkish but i like soad music.i think serj sing well in cd but his live performance aren't very good.espwcially in mtv 2005 europe music awards.

i say before you judge them buy toxicity (easily the best album btw) and listen to all the songs 3 times. then tell me what you think, if you dont like it, fine thats your opinion,

Their best song ever would have to be toxicity. It's what makes System of a down, system of a down. Their best video is chop suey. And obviously the best part of the video is that part when they are in the hall way eating...chop suey, of course!

Poor poor mislead people...... Mezmerize is easily the worst system album ever. If you want to hear some really good system, try their self titled album. That does not have one single bad song on it. In my opinion, the order of greatness in the system cds starts with the first, and goes chronologically until Mezmerize. Hopefully Hypnotize will be better? Its coming out pretty soon. Mezmerize lacks far too many things to be the best soad album. It needs things like:
More vocals from serj, and MUCH less from Darren
BETTER vocals "My ****** can walk right through the door..." comes to mind...
Better time changes, secifically in BYOB when they have no transition from the fairly cool stuff at the beginning to "Blast off, its party time...."
Old School Hollywood is just terrible...

Hypnotize Rules, The best songs are Kill Rock 'n' Roll, Holy Mountains, Tentavive, Soldier Side, She's Like Heroïn, Vicinity Of Obscenity and Lonely Day. The other songs are also great, but less than these Rolling Eyes

i like their songs chopsuey and Needles a lot...Chopsuey makes me better everytime i hear whan iam dipressed, i doono why but it does...and Needles makes me laugh if i play it when i am normal...but i havent hadthe time to hear to their other songs though...any suggestion which ones are better that these two that i hve mentioned?

I just got the Hypnotize CD the other day and I think its great, better than Mezmerise!

I love their 2 new albums! I'm listening to them for about 2 weeks long, and ...woow! Sometime super-fast, sometime really langurous song, that's really cool! You MUST buy them!

SOAD's newest album "Hypnotize" was really good.
I think they done a very good job with the two newest albums.

the new cd of SOAD is very good, but it's old music it's very goods too
