why i can't update my norton antivirus software??

i tryed with the symantec website .. iit's saying that my computer is infected and i can't update it reject!

where did u get the program ?
if its from a p2p program then i usually cant be updated.. u must be lucky if
u want to update it .. but if you bought the program then i dont know what to do ...

You are using a pirated or cracked version of Norton Antivirus. The solution is, buy the original one, or download another software. (AVG Free is recommended by me)

Test update manually the virus database of norton, go to http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/defs.download.html, selecte languaje and click in [Download updates]

In the new page download one of the options (...x86 probably).

Once downloaded run the file.

If all ok, the Norton antivirus is updated.

Another possibility is that you really do have a virus.
Go to one of the online viurs checks like:
Trend micro online virus check
or
Norton security check
They usually will diagnose any virus and most of the time fix it.
