Java Mac (Aqua) Look

adri
I'm quite new to the GUI part of Java as my book used BlueJ, which is an environment that let's you visualize Classes and has its own terminal built in.

There was also a chapter about GUI's but I'm not really satisfied with the thing I learned in that chapter, they make ugly, bad looking GUI's and as a website developer I hate ugly websites as much as ugly applications on my laptop. So I started searching on how to make nice Applications for Mac (I have a Macbook Pro) but soon discovered that Cocoa had given up its Java support years ago. Sad So goodbye easy way. :/

Now making an app that has some resemblance with native mac apps isn't too difficult but i was wondering how I could create the header like in many Mac applications, something like this:

Other tutorials on how to create a Mac looking applications using Java with Swing (which is what I'm using) are welcome (or other possibilities Smile ).

Thanks,

adri
