What are your experiences facing the day tired?

chasbeen
Are there different types of being tired after an insufficient night's sleep
You wake up and you know you have had a bad night sleep.
Here are the symptoms I experience.
TALKING WITHOUT THINKING
FAILURE TO CONCENTRATE
ACHING BODY
UNUSUALLY HAPPY
UNUSUALLY SAD
HALLUCINATION

Sometimes I experience all these.
Sometimes I'm ok initially then hit these symptoms later in the day.

What are your observations when you
Have to face the day tired?

I don't know about hallucinating and talking without thinking but all of the other items do apply this morning, so your thread is right on Very Happy It happens infrequently, but when it does it is usually in the morning never during the day.

Actually lack of sleep can look a lot like being drunk in many people.
My lack of sleep is general difficulty to concentrate not complete failure.

When I'm tired probably due to not sleeping properly, or overworking, Usually, its the following symptoms :-

Failure to Concentrate
Aches in some parts of joints and / or back, and sometimes headaches
unusually sad
I guess talking wiithout thinking as well, as I get irritable, but fortunately I usually joke with some of my colleagues all the time, so a lot of times, they take it lightly, I guess.

lol @ Nameless - I think only once I went to work drunk, and I was kind of happy, and actually did a lot of work with a lot of ease... but I have not tried it again, nor would want to.

Yes, I like that. When you are tired it's as if you are drunk.
That confuses people because I don't actually drink.

After 40+ hours total detachment from reality, "fish eye" / "tunnel vision" but just feeling like you are looking at your own vision 3rd party if you know what i mean. I need my sleep very badly I think this will be more hours for some people, it really depends on drink/drugs

I feel drowsy all over the day after a bad night sleep. Usualy my patience and tolerance level tends to zero at that time. And a constant headache accompanies until next good sleep. Ofcourse taking bath in cold water sometimes help.

I find coffee always helps, but it's probably stressful on the adrenals at the same time. However that if my beverage of choice is my energy levels are low in the morning.

Hilarious! You would REALLY have to be tired for that to happen .... Laughing

I wonder if anyone else has had the same symptom - if I am really tired, having gone without sleep for more than 24 hours straight for example, I have to watch my balance as well. I'm experienced at not losing my balance, but it is a conscious effort not to bump into things. I have to watch my step.

Hi when im tired im stress
* feel tired and drained in the evenings
*chronic tiredness began after a stressful event occurred
*you have a high-stress, on-the-go lifestyle. You work hard, party hard, stay up late, drink coffee and alcohol and sometimes 'burn the candle' at both ends
*physical symptoms of stress: heart palpitations, increased perspiration, clammy hands, headaches, poor concentration or insomnia
*feel weepy and over-sensitive
*feel over-whelmed, as if you can't cope
adri
* procrastination, a lot of
* having the urge to close my eyes
* eating more
* less assertive (the "I don't care" attitude)

Coffee helps after three cups. Smile
