I honestly don't know what I am...I have been raised Jewish but it really doesn't interest me or make me think. I'm more intrigued by the concepts of Buddhism and specifically, Zen Buddhism. I wouldn't call myself a Buddhist, but if I pay attention to any one religion or practice more than others, it would be that. Kinda why I believe in karma Razz

I don't believe in religion personally thats not to say that I never will it's just all the evidance occording to physics is that there is no God, but if I see undoubtable prouf of a God or Gods I will admit that I was wrong, but untill then i will believe the most plausable theory,

Christianity would serve as the backbone for my "Religious beliefs"...however, I try to think of Christianity as a lifestyle. Some religions aim toward a specific lifestyle, while others are just...'religious'. By that, I mean there are a set of routines and practices that "get you off the hook".

If you see then the place where I live that is INDIA.
Is having so many religions,
actually here we have sub-religions then sub-sub religion under them and all.
Its a big list.

Here only lies the problem.
People distinguish sometime becoz of this and hence we fail in our total means of democracy.

I hence think that I am just a INDIAN thats it.

Humanity is my religion.

Well about god is you say,
then its like when you are in problem then you remember him.

Was born into Lutheranism, by a Jewish mother who didn't let them chop my thingie, my father brought me up with great influence of Asiatic religions, I went to predominantly Catholic schools and I have some years ago "made my own country" (created distance between myself and the mondane world).
I have had the luck to have lived in many parts of the world and seen most of them.
I can't (in spite of the broad view) understand what is going on but keep smiling bravely through tears.

yes i have a religion and i m a Hindu by religion.

i do believe in the existence of god though i cant prove it. for eg: recently a solar eclipse was witnessed. In India, most of the Hindu Pundits (Priests) predicted that some sort of huge natural calamity will occur in the near future, and it did. Earthquake whick killed 81000 in Pakistan and 1300 in India. So i do belive in future and all that stuff

just to clarify: athiesm *is* the lack of religion....they don't believe in god...no god, no religion...

agnostic: doesn't mean you don't want religion but *do* believe in god...agnosticism simply means you acknowledge the fact that there is no way to prove or disprove the actuality of a godlike figure.

i tend to be a more pessimistic agnostic...

unitarianism is absolutely wonderful tho...all religions can come together under one umbrella....it doesn't matter *what* you believe, as long as good comes from your beliefs...

If I would be given a chance to change religion, I'll definitely choose Methodist. Definitely, one of the best religion I have ever seen. Very Happy

I am a very practical Folkish Asatru. Those are the followers of the knowledge and wisdom of the Norse and other European peoples. This knowledge and wisdom is passed in stories of the gods call eddas. The gods are personifications of forces in nature and the cosmos. We respect these forces and personalise them. It's done alot to center me and direct my efforts to productive and meaningful things.

I'm sure you can google it and come up with good things and bad things said about my general beliefs. But I believe much more than what is written in old books by people that were really very ignorant by todays standards.

My gods are not bowed to or superior to me. I do not bow before them in fear. I face them with courage and determination. I set a place for them at my table for they are forever in my life. Forever they are with me and urge me to struggle foreward to the stars and higher forms of life through adventure, exploration and adaptation. They are the forces and collective experience that make me what I am and my children what they are.

They are family from thousands of years past. They live in me and my actions and will be projected into the future by my children and gods willing their children and on down the line for thousands more years.

Anyway, I'm Catholic, but i'm currently learning lots of different religions in my Religion class, which is quite interesting. I mean, i never knoew that Hinduism has more than 100 gods! It's really amazing and sometimes it changes your views about the world, the religion, and the people around you. Like you want to try it and learn more about because you may be inspired or motivated.

I believe in life after death. I really do. There's no reason why, but i just do.
