Well it is so true that the Indian team saved their reputation while they were humiliated in the last version of the world cup this time they came back like wounded lions and destroyed all the other teams. But wat i am trying to say. Is that it did not look like a collective efforts It looked as if sometimes. yuvraj's brilliance, sometimes Zaheer's spell sometimes Sehwag's spark got them to the title never looked like a complete team performance. however that is thing of the past now and it seems that wat i pointed out earlier is being preyed upon by England I mean look at the situation the Indian team is in England c'mon India we don't deserve to see u people like this we are a world champion side...
definitely this world cup was made only for Indians and in the whole series they played very well so this was quite satisfactory on Indian victory
India certainly deserved to win in the World Cup 2011. There are no two ways about it. Winning a World Cup can never come in fluke. And, relating the ongoing English series with the World Cup is absurd - this is a series of test matches, while the World Cup was all about ODIs.
I'd agree there. It isn't just one match that decides the World Cup; the form of the team throughout the tournament matters, especially in a tournament that involves 10+ games.
India weren't perfect, but seeing their performance in the final, one could say that they wanted it more than Sri Lanka.

I think we deserve this win because all our players performed really well in this series.
If we look to the batsman, Yuvraj played excellently well and sachin also did his job quite magnificently and how can we forget our bowling brigade without them this win could not have been possible.

Its pretty obvious that Indians batted and fielded so well.In the second Inning,how crucial was the match.Just loved it !
India won the world cup behind the valiant effort by Yuvraj. Virendra Shewag was another batsman who played well. I don't think it was a mere luck. India is a good cricketing nation. India would have won many cricket matches, if she could get over the shadow of Tendulkar.
