Internet is working well between Phone and Computer via WiFi

Now i want to transfer a file between Phone and Computer using Wifi.
It is possible?

not possible if you don't know the brand, model and OS of the phone.

oh brother.. ever heard of andorid market?

I knew that.
But i don't know how to setup a computer to work with that application?
badai
with wifi most probably you can only access your windows computer from your phone, not the other way around. i doubt that you can get samba on android.

know your android probably will help. it's derived from linux.

but then again, can't expect much..... [finish the sentence]

Here's an app called Samba Filesharing from the xda-developers forum: http://bit.ly/gyJ5tp

Other requirements include root access to the phone and Superuser 2.3.6.1 installed.

It's pretty easy to setup:
1) Start the app on your Android phone and grant it superuser permission
2) Set the username, password, and workgroup of your home network
3) Enable the service

I'm glad you brought this up; I never really thought about sharing my files this way but I would connect the phone to my laptop via USB Rolling Eyes

I tried File Expert.
First it didn't work well.
After I got working.
Then I tried Wifi-Explorer.
All working well.

Now I learned more about WiFi.
Thanks for your help.

Here is a steps what i did:

Step 1:
First i setup a Ad-Hoc.

Step 2:
Then i connected to Wifi Network on my phone.

Step 3:
I get File Expert from market.
It is free version.

Open the File Expert.
Click on the Share icon.
It will show the POP up menu with two option.
Web Sharing
and
FTP Sharing

Click the Web Sharing.

It will show one address like :192.168.x.x:8080
