corrupted audiofile

petervanhecke
Hi,

I bought a H1 Handy recorder (ZOOM) and recorded an interview. I wanted to copy it to my computer but something went wrong. I have a Mac book pro and in the preview mode (pressing space bar) I can still hear a part of the interview i recorded. Propably until the part where it is corrupted. I would like to skip this corrupted part and try to continue to the rest of the interview but there is no way I can copy the ZOOM0001.MP3 to my hard disc. Is there some way I can do this anyway?

Thx
Peter

You can try various audio editing applications (Audacity comes to mind, here's a link to the Mac version). Since you could no longer copy the file to your computer, just open it directly from your recorder using your chosen software. It should be able to read until the part where it has been corrupted. You can then save the partial MP3. Hope this works for you. Smile

Use your mobile, it becomes more than a phone. And more reliable than the specialized devices.
