are there people who alsow like snowboard?
can you let me know?
I enjoy snowboarding its alot of fun!!!
Snowboarding kicks ass man!! I'v been boarding for 3 years now. This winter will be my 4th so getting ok i suppose but still havnt learnt many tricks. How advanced are you guys?
I like it.
Unfortunately, I can't do it much because I'm an uncontrollable speed freak and I don't heal as fast as I used to.
I stick with skiing now.
do you have your own board?
or do you rent a board?
it is my drug of choice.
it's indeed very addicted , but it's a healthy addiction
Looks Like too radical *_*
But where i live, e don΄t have Snow. Brazil is a Tropical, Hot and Rainy place to live ^^'
One day, who knows, I wanna practice it.
snow boarding is verry cool. i do it a lot indoor in holland. in snowdoom. this year im also going to ausenreich.
no doubt it is on eof my most favourites addictions and i just love it!!!
Unfortunatley I've broken my arm doing it so I've gotten more careful and try to control my ^speed because I just love the speed and the sensation of always being on the edge !!
Snowboarding is pretty awesome.
What snowboards do you guys have? Mine is a K2 Darkstar with Forum LX bindings and Lamar matrix boots.
Just been snowboarding in the Northern Japan prefecture of Akita. What a wild way to spend Xmas. Huge powder and lots of tight Jpanese snow bunnies everywhere. Now back to the grey concrete of Tokyo...Ah well...
Yea. i snowboard over here in the east coast. Its nice, but we havent gotten any powder yet. rediouclus. Okemo is where im at
Fallow up, I ride techines that i hate. I ride never summer snowboards and celsius boot. Generally i any outerwear i can find i use, but i try not to go with burton. some stuff they have is good but mostly the stuff has fallen apart. Probally foursquare and volcom are on the top of my
i like this but im not doing it regulary
I went for the first time last easter and it was awesome, hopefully going again in a couple of months. Can any of you guys tell me any good websites for getting snowboard gear in the UK and your favourite brands. I only really know burton what should i stear clear of?
From what I hear of Burton is what you should stear clear of. They have gotten way overpriced and the quality has gone down. For advice try a popular snowboarding forum (http://snowboard.colonies.com/ is pretty huge)
Thanks for the help.
yeah this year is my first year but for x-mas i got an atomic hatchet. it's pretty sweet. sadly i havent been able to get out since i got it. people and their lives jeez! haha but my first time out was pretty sick im glad i got out there. its such a rush
the best part of all snowboard it's the half-pipe...
looks pretty good at the first sight but after two-three runs you'll get addicted and start asking why it is so damn short...
I like snowboarding too, although I'm not very good at it, just tried it for the first time last winter. I think it's maybe easier to control than skis. I'm sure somebody will say that it's other way around, but that's afterall just my opinion.
Yeah same here, i love skiing, i would like o try snowboarding though
Rocking is my sport! just kidding.. it is but i've got other sports... hmm..
snowboarding sounds like fun... i should try it sometimes. can i get killed with snowboarding? if i can, i won't even try
you can brake every bone in your body or worst you can damage your board (this is more important )
and if the board isn't yours, you've got more bigger problems!
but it's the risk that makes it so nice:d
Snowboarding is amazing!
Anyone watch it in the Winter Olympics?
Man Them guys can fly on the board...I wish I was as fast!
...yeah saw the half-pipe final at Torino and i can say Shaun White is the best; the others competitors couldn't match him; he rocks!
I like snowboard. Ha, I can only ski. Snowboard is too dangerous to me. When I tie my two feet together with snowboard, I just feel unsafe. So finally I choose skiing. But in my heart, I wish someday I can make it. It is cool.
Been Snowboarding for 17 years now ...love it, hehe...love it van't even beging to describe it.
Mont Orword, Quebec .... Tuesday, Wednessday, Thursday 17 $, for all day
Hey guys! I really like snowboarding! I've been riding for many years now. I usually go to the ski resorts in the "Pirineos", in Spain.
I live in South Africa, and thus, snow is not easy to come by. I had the luxury of going away to tiffendal ski resort this last weekend (which is on the border of Lesotho) and finally got my chance at snowboarding (which I have always wanted to try). Had a lot of fun getting going, and with somewhat limited experience of skateboarding, it came quite naturally. That is, until I wiped out and found my shoulder sitting somewhere in my chest. The dislocation has, according to doctor, caused me to loose full use of my left arm for the next 6 to 9 months. So yeah it rocked, but BE CAREFUL!! Snow aint that soft..
last season, there wasn't a weekend when i could go snowboarding and didn't. as you can prolly tell from my name, i breathe the sport. i am not good at park riding (rails boxes 360s and stuff) but i am good at racing. now i could give you a 1 and a half page begginers guide, however, if u use google, you will probably find one that is much better written.
anyways, expect quite a bit of pain in the tailbone, knee, and wrist vicinity, for the first few months where you will be wiping out pretty much every run, but don't give up the sport. the learning curve is very steep. so is the level of pain. my best advice to deal w/ the pain: suck it up princess. anyways, just because you are in agony, doesn't mean you won't have fun.
hope that gave you an impression of what to expect.
most importantly tho, HAVE FUN.
i agree. burton is like nike. they are huge. they are expensive. and the equipment is s***. there is a problem with the way they apply the p-tex (bottom layer that is extremely slippery) and i heard that if you ride over a pebble, it could peel right off.
I'm a complete novice at boarding, though have been ski-ing since I was only a young 'un. Tomorrow I'm heading up to the slope near me to try and learn in a day the yesses and no don'ts of the art of the board.
I'll let everyone know how I did tomorrow.
I luv Snowboards, don't know why, i think they are better then skis, u can do more tricks and have more fun ;>
Though im no expert and probably a dozen of Ski fanatics will say im wrong ;p
I still think Snowboards pwn.
The best option for the poll is missing: BOTH!!!
I've been skiing for most of my life and I love it. I also started boarding a few years ago and I really like it too, but after all skiing rocks ( probably because I'm better at it )
I live in the south of Argentina and here in Bariloche we have one of the best ski center of south america. I do snowboarding and I think is great. Is freedom. I got new tricks tihs winter so Im pretty happy.
Snowboarding = Slamming
You don't just fall down on a snowboard,
you SLAM !
I've only ever skied. But i would love to try snowboarding. So i would really have to say neither. Although i do love sleeding
