I like it.

Unfortunately, I can't do it much because I'm an uncontrollable speed freak and I don't heal as fast as I used to.

I stick with skiing now. Wink

Unfortunatley I've broken my arm doing it so I've gotten more careful and try to control my ^speed because I just love the speed and the sensation of always being on the edge !!

Snowboarding is pretty awesome.

From what I hear of Burton is what you should stear clear of. They have gotten way overpriced and the quality has gone down. For advice try a popular snowboarding forum (http://snowboard.colonies.com/ is pretty huge)

the best part of all snowboard it's the half-pipe...
looks pretty good at the first sight but after two-three runs you'll get addicted and start asking why it is so damn short...

I like snowboarding too, although I'm not very good at it, just tried it for the first time last winter. I think it's maybe easier to control than skis. I'm sure somebody will say that it's other way around, but that's afterall just my opinion.

you can brake every bone in your body or worst you can damage your board (this is more important Laughing )
Reyntjensw
and if the board isn't yours, you've got more bigger problems!
but it's the risk that makes it so nice:d

Snowboarding is amazing!
Anyone watch it in the Winter Olympics?
Man Them guys can fly on the board...I wish I was as fast!
legion
...yeah saw the half-pipe final at Torino and i can say Shaun White is the best; the others competitors couldn't match him; he rocks!

I like snowboard. Ha, I can only ski. Snowboard is too dangerous to me. When I tie my two feet together with snowboard, I just feel unsafe. So finally I choose skiing. But in my heart, I wish someday I can make it. It is cool.

Hey guys! I really like snowboarding! I've been riding for many years now. I usually go to the ski resorts in the "Pirineos", in Spain.

Peace out

I live in South Africa, and thus, snow is not easy to come by. I had the luxury of going away to tiffendal ski resort this last weekend (which is on the border of Lesotho) and finally got my chance at snowboarding (which I have always wanted to try). Had a lot of fun getting going, and with somewhat limited experience of skateboarding, it came quite naturally. That is, until I wiped out and found my shoulder sitting somewhere in my chest. The dislocation has, according to doctor, caused me to loose full use of my left arm for the next 6 to 9 months. So yeah it rocked, but BE CAREFUL!! Snow aint that soft.. Confused

last season, there wasn't a weekend when i could go snowboarding and didn't. as you can prolly tell from my name, i breathe the sport. i am not good at park riding (rails boxes 360s and stuff) but i am good at racing. now i could give you a 1 and a half page begginers guide, however, if u use google, you will probably find one that is much better written.

anyways, expect quite a bit of pain in the tailbone, knee, and wrist vicinity, for the first few months where you will be wiping out pretty much every run, but don't give up the sport. the learning curve is very steep. so is the level of pain. my best advice to deal w/ the pain: suck it up princess. anyways, just because you are in agony, doesn't mean you won't have fun.

hope that gave you an impression of what to expect.
most importantly tho, HAVE FUN.

cheers.

i agree. burton is like nike. they are huge. they are expensive. and the equipment is s***. there is a problem with the way they apply the p-tex (bottom layer that is extremely slippery) and i heard that if you ride over a pebble, it could peel right off.

I'm a complete novice at boarding, though have been ski-ing since I was only a young 'un. Tomorrow I'm heading up to the slope near me to try and learn in a day the yesses and no don'ts of the art of the board.

I'll let everyone know how I did tomorrow.

I've been skiing for most of my life and I love it. I also started boarding a few years ago and I really like it too, but after all skiing rocks Exclamation ( probably because I'm better at it Wink )
