I own both the HTC G1 and G2 running CyanogenMod 6 and stock Android, respectively. I'm quite anxious for the Gingerbread update for the G2. I use the G1 for installing every application that I am curious about that I probably shouldn't install on the G2.

I believe our Galaxy Tab is running version 2.2, not quite sure, though.

I've got Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Froyo, and Donut spread across my devices. None of them are official releases, all custom ROMs. Honestly, I know Ice Cream Sandwich was supposed to be made "easier to use" but it took me longer to get used to it compared to getting used to Cupcake a few years back (not that it was difficult, I just liked the original design). Still, the new graphics acceleration really makes a huge difference and overall it is a significant improvement over Gingerbread.

I am using since a while ICS with Cyanogenmod9, and like it a lot.

Also, it supports Catalan, which is not in other MODs.

Currently it was running on Smartphones and Tablets only.
Some Windows 8 tablet has Android OS as 2nd os.

I do not have an android system on my phone right now. Because my phone is a stupid one which is of ancient times. I had an android phone some time back. Actually I had the moto droid which was I think the first successful android phone. I overused the phone, flashing it, rooting it and installing cyanogen mod multiple times.

The latest I remember was installing Cyanogen 7 on my motorola droid/milestone phone.

I've got 4.3 running on my xperia Z and awaiting the release of KitKat.

on my old phone I had cyanogenmod running after the warranty had expired, but as long as I've got warranty on my Z I will not even unlock the bootloader.

has anybody ever compiled the android sources successfully? I've tried it once but after many hours and several failures I had given up on it

I love andriod since there are many developer for new application on this operating system compared with Apple - which cost to much; Windows Mobile- which very rare developer.

I guess for now Android becomes at the top of them all.

Currently running Android KitKat on my Nexus 4. I cannot modify it properly (I don't do programming, not my cup of tea), so I just use the pure version Google provide us. Very Happy

I am running official android 4 on my HTC Sensation, i haven't looked for custom roms but android 4.4 (KitKat) is available by custom roms for my device. I think best support comes for Nexus Phones and I will not buy any other non-nexus android phones (or maybe buy them if they are google play edition).
