5.1ch support for audio file?
ankitdatashn
Are you wanting to ask whether we can play Movie or video in 5.1 Audio Configuration? Your question is unclear... Smile

Sorry for that problem.

It is possible to play a Audio file in 5.1ch?(not video)

First off, this should be under the Computer Problems and Support forum. Second of all, yes, it is possible to play all audio files on a 5.1 channel system. Changing the number of speakers does not change the fact that they are speakers. Using a surround sound system to play what amounts to a stereo (2 channel, regular) audio mp3 file does not make it surround sound. You essentially just have the same sound coming out of more speakers.

Playing a file of this type, however: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3_Surround would likely work on a 5.1 system, and sound great.

Other than that, I'm as confused as everyone else by what you're asking.

Thanks for your information.
Now I understand that.

In a good quality audio (as well as video)system, there are up-scaling( Low quality input-->High quality output) and down-scaling(High quality input--> low quality output). So playing anything in all the channel is not an issue today.
