Good headphones under 80$ ?

Helios
I want to buy headphones for home usage, do you know any good models for <80$ ?

What sort of home use?
Are you a crazy audiophile demanding extreme high fidelity, or are you more reasonable in your wants for sound (ie. clear, defined, but you're not bothered by a slight attenuation in, say the 90-300Hz range that almost nobody else would be able to detect)?

DO you prefer over the ear, full enclosure?
Over the ear pads?
In-ear buds that sit on the outside of the pina?
In-ear buds that insert into the ear canal?
i.e. - what style are you drawn to when looking in stores?

How long a cord to you require?

Any other info you can think of would be appreciated Smile

How about Seinheiser HD 201 or 202? they're cheap and very, very good

I do like good quality, especially a precise bass. However, being limited by budget, I can't really be picky here.
I prefer the large around-ear headphones. I use in-ear buds with my cellphone, but I already own a good enough set. I want something for home Smile

Cord should be at least 2-3m long. I'm 6'1" and I'd like to be able to stand up or do something when the headphones will still be connected to my PC/laptop.

I'd like them to block outside noises as much as possible... of course not like in-ear, but some at least. I live in a noisy neighbourhood... Razz

I hear that HD 201 is quite fragile and uncomfortable, plus the volume is low compared to other headphones. HD202 might be too small and they might hurt my ears after long periods of listening, but I'll have to check them out in the store to be sure.
What I liked about these Philips headphones is that the pads aren't made from leather or leather-like material, so sweatiness of the ears won't be a big problem (I live in Israel, it's hot here!).

Ok, thanks Smile
It's been a while since I was selling headphones, and I didn't deal with them all that often, so I'm kinda drawing a blank on pricing/quality and model numbers. I'll have to get back to you.

Heard about how good they are but I'll be able to get them 2nd had for about 130$. Even if If find new ones, they'll cost way more than 80$ here. Stupid Israel, can't buy decent stuff here and pay normally...

Maybe I can order them from Ebay but I'd really like to listen to them first... I usually play FPS video games and listen to various genres of metal and rock, so I need to check that they'll suit :S
Also, can they run well driven by a PC ?
