I am planning to go to an area where huge snowfall is going on now(Sikkim). Since this is my first time to such scenario, kindly suggest me what to do and what not to. I want to comeback in good health.Ofcourse I am taking sufficient warm clothes, but what other measures should I take? I like my tour to be healthy & enjoyable.
BTW Alcohol is not an option for me.
Take small steps when walking, the longer your steps are, the more off-balance you are, and the less you are able to recover from slipping on ice.
Don't drive, let people who are used to driving in the snow drive for you.
If it is very cold, one of the most important pieces of clothing you can have is a hat -- particularly one that covers your ears.
Eating/drinking/taking lots of vitamin C will help you ward off any diseases you might catch. (The cold doesn't cause diseases, it causes you to stay inside in more crowded areas, where diseases spread more easily, and it weakens your immune system a little.)
That should about cover it.
Thanx man. I will keep your points in mind. I am leaving tomorrow. Will post my experience here after my return.
How was your experience? Did you enjoy without any accident?
