Am thinking of buying a PC TV Tuner with DVB-T support so I can watch Freeview (UK) channels on my computer...anyone had any experiences with them?
Care to advice which cards i should buy?
Currently I'm thinking of buying the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T USB2 and probably configuring it to use GBPVR for playback, etc.
Anyone using the GBPVR software?
I just purched last week a Pinnacle PCTV DVB-T Stick Solo you can record to your hard drive in MPEG-1/-2, or direct to DVD.
I'm living in central Europe but I think they work any where where they transmit digital tv.
But once again because its pinnacle the software kills it! im looking for some third party drivers, ill get back to you once im 100% happy.
I have been using Pinnacle PCTV for the last 6 years.
Works quite well, no problems with it so far.
I brought a Pinnacle PCTV usb dvb stick its working fine but the software bundle which comes with it is ridiculously large!!
Uses up WAY too much ram and proccesser resorocres
Wow, I hadn't kept track of Pinnacle's new products!
So they have a USB portable tuner too
No wonder it eats up all those resources........it's a USB tuner stick, after all
The least resource-hogging variety is the external tuner card (But no recording possible)
Internal cards consume a reasonable amount of RAM.
But USB tuners are expected to eat a lot of resources.
btw, shouldn't this thread should be moved to Hardware?
The hybrid S830 DVB-T dongle Its has double tuners make it easy for you to watch one channel while you record another !
In the pack :Antenna, Savvy TV software, user guide, remote control, wall antenna adapter
Power supply: Self-powered via USB dock
Transmission mode: Infrared
try winfast... im using winfast right now and its great.
