Windows 2008 R2 as additional Domain Controller

menino
We have a Windows 2003 domain controller, and want to upgrade it to Windows 2008.
The best approach for this would be to install another server with windows 2008, make it an additional domain controller, test if ok, and then promote it to the main domain controller.

Now, the problem 'm facing is the adprep /forestprep command on the win2003 server.
When I run it, it gives the following error :-

Add error on line 1: Unwilling To Perform
The server side error is "Schema update failed: attribute in may-contain does not exist."
0 entries modified successfully.
An error has occurred in the program
ERROR: Import from file C:\WINDOWS\system32\sch47.ldf failed. Error file is saved in ldif.err.47.

If the error is "Insufficient Rights" (Ldap error code 50), please make sure the current logged on user has rights to read/write objects in the schema and configuration containers, or log off and log in as an user with these rights and rerun schupgr.exe. In most cases, being a member of both Schema Admins and Enterprise Admins is sufficient to run schupgr.exe.
Adprep was unable to upgrade the schema on the schema master.
[Status/Consequence]
The schema will not be restored to its original state.
[User Action]
Check the Ldif.err log file in the C:\WINDOWS\debug\adprep\logs\20110210090943 directory for detailed information.

If anyone has any expeience in this, please let me know.
