iPod USB adaptor

I bought a three-in-one Ipod charger system. It has one adaptor that connects to a car cigarette lighter and another that facilitates using a wall charger. Upon arrival the wall charger unit did not fit into my wall because the prongs were slanted instead of straight. What type of wall socket has slanted prongs (at 90 degrees to each other) instead of opposing ones. They are parallel to each other with faces at 90 degrees instead of parallel to each other with opposing prong faces.

Chinese power plugs look sort of like what you're describing. Try googling that and see if that's the one you're looking for.

Since the adapter was purchased on eBay from Hong Kong, that makes sense and is probably the correct explanation for the oddity.
