Action Replay vs GameShark (PS2)

squeakypants
Which is better? They both work with the Knife-Trick, right? (I have many backups, and some of my games are scratched) Do the codes work if you use the knife trick?

Gamestop Prices:
GameShark - $20
Action Replay Max Evo - $40

I know ARMaxEvo has media player capabilities. Does GS have this? What formats does it play (does it do AVI/Divx too, or just mpg?)?

Which one has the most/best codes?

Does one have an easier interface than the other?

Also, does GS update without internet like AR does?

Does GS allow you to download Game Saves, and do either allow you to download them from a CD?

Does it require them to be CD-Rs, or can they be CD-RWs? Kind of a waste of CD-Rs...

LOL one more thing:

What is the difference between the EVO Edition and the Normal (16MB) Edition?

anyone?

I've never used Action Replay before but I think it has more features than the gameshark.

I use AR mostly, but I like them both and I do own both of them. For some games AR has better cheats then GS and for others GS has better cheats then AR. So mixing them both together will bring out the most in your games. My GS (older XB edition) doens't have the game saves feature, and I am not sure if the newer GS ones do either. Of course my AR has the game saves feature, but as far as GS goes I am not sure since mine is an older version.
